Creation of the Cosmos
Long ago when the Cosmos were created by Spider woman, her children
emerged as the architects of the Earth’s system. The brother and sister began making
the webs that connect everyone. And being highly competitive they began a contest to
see who could build the most webs the quickest. As they wove their webs, neither could
get an advantage. They were neck and neck or front body lobe to front body lobe…
until … the brother spider decided to take a few shortcuts. What could it hurt to build
the web a little differently if it meant he could win the contest? So he began building
these new webs and he soon quickly shot out ahead of his sister, building many
new webs to her one as she slowly and intricately built her webs as her mother
had taught her, making sure every connection between the creation was working
properly. Then came a day when the brother finally took a break from building
his webs and looked at his great handiwork, expecting to be pleased and proud
as he was going to go gloat over how he had figured out a better way to build webs
to win the contest. But as he peered back upon his creation, his eyes filled with
tears – he saw what webs he’d woven and how much trouble was afoot. People
could not connect fully on his webs, and it resulted in chaos, pain, misery, wars,
unnecessary death of all of creation. Saddened, he went to his mother and asked
her what he could do. She consoled him and spun great love between them, reminding
him of what it felt like to be on the good web. And he knew instantly that he must do
whatever he could to help his sister build the good webs. And he has been
weaving the good webs ever since, along side his sister. And, slowly, the good
webs are replacing the flawed ones, and more and more people are connecting
deeply with all that is.
